Which is the best 'element' in terms of electricity consumption & price ?
Sida 1 av 2
Hello,
I have just moved in to an older stuga. It is 95sqm, separated in vardagsrum, kitchen, upstairs.
It has a vedspis and kamin, which i use. And of course i keep each room closed.
It's working quite well, but with the cold weather now, I would like to get 1 or 2 element as support.
I do not have the money to install a Luftvärmepump.
I've been doing some research online, looking at different types and models of heaters, but I thought I would ask here as well.
Can anyone recommend a particular model/brand of heater element that doesn't consume too much electricity (especially with the crazy electricity prices at the moment) ? Each room is about 25sqm.
Thank you very much for your help!

There is no such thing as a more economic electrical element.
You need a certain amount of energy to heat upp the stuga and whatever element you choose it will drain your wallet with the same amount of kronor.

I would have installed a luftvärmepump or use the kamin and save the money. I would also buy sockor, tofflor and filtar. If i would buy an electric radiotor for a short period, i would just take the cheapest from Jula although i have a more expensive from Mill which looks better and sounds less.
Yes, i understand this, but i was more thinking in terms of the different kinds of heaters and models out there...if anyone could recommend a specific model, in terms of both efficiency and also how much electricity they consume. Some seem to be more energy-efficient.K Keld skrev:

Then, when i read on different websites or produkt beskrivning, something about how olja-element seem to consume less electricity, or that newer electric heaters are more efficient than older ones : what is it that they are referring to ?
A radiator that makes more radiant heat may make the room feel a little warmer than a heater that makes more convection heat. So you may be able to keep a lower temperature and still be comfortable. there by maybe be slightly more "efficient".
The tip of the day, NEVER trust advertisements ...A Arusha.T skrev:
All electrical radiators have exactly the same efficiency, 100% of the electrical energy will turn to the same amount of heat energy.
A värmepump "steal" some energy from another source (the ground or the outdoor air) and can therefore produce more heating energy than the electrical energy that the put in.
If you do not have the money for an expensive luftvärmepump, you can buy this pump:

It is easy to connect yourself, even though you are actually not permitted to do so.. I have two of an older model. It is not as effective as more expensive pumps when it is too cold, but during the whole year you will get the money back pretty fast. My fist pump I installed 5 years ago. It is now starting to get a little more noisy, so I probably need to change the motor in it to make it silent again. But in total I am still quite happy with it. I did also not have the money when I had just bought the house to buy anything more expensive, and it has served me well. I would also buy it again in the same situation. Next pump will probably be a more expensive one though.

Yes, I believe it is. You have to sign a contract though with their partner, that they will install it for you. But it seems that others have just delayed it, and then the partner have stopped calling. Since it is cheap now, I would just say that you bought it because that it was cheap, but that you have not decided yet where you will use it.L lob skrev:
