Respected Sir /Madam

One of my friends recommended me your association regarding thermal insulation.

I have 2 queries.

1. Please could you let me know the configuration of the walls in Energy efficient house in Sweden.

How is it different from that of insulation of a summer house in Sweden.

The width of each section (plaster, wood and insulation) can help me with calculations of An equivalent insulation with plastic waste.

Some good links (english) can be helpful.

2. I hail from Sikkim,India on foot of Himalayas. We respect environment and work actively on processing the plastic waste on foot of mountain.

This is Regarding the use of regular plastic waste from our daily life for insulation of walls around living space

1.empty bottles (Polyethylene Terephthalate)
2.packing insulation (Expanded Polystyeren)
3.plastic bags (Low density polyethylene)
4.Bottles containing Cosmetics (polyvinyl chloride).

I am doing a study regarding the feasibility of This thermal insulation in Sweden.

I can explain sections of one of the models :
(from outside to inside)
1.Outside plaster
2.stone wall
3.Cavity wall filing
4.Damp resistant foil
5.Inside Cavity wall and
6.inside plaster.

Do you think its an sound proposal to have wall insulation from used plastic bottles and bags for having well insulated house in Halland.

Thank you for your time

Is the insulation made from the plastic, or is the bottle itself the insulation?

Hello Rosemary,

Wellcome to the Swedish site for houseowners and builders.

A normal wall in Sweden might be like this:
https://www.google.se/search?q=ytte...QsAQIVQ&biw=1600&bih=769#imgrc=RWBEL-uLAzbo8M:
The most common insulation material is glas wool insulation.

Sommer houses are in princip build in the same way as ordinary houses, sometimes with a little less insulation.

We never use plastic waste to insulate walls or anything else for that matter. Plastic waste we collect and burn in powerplants, or grind and manufacture new plastic parts.

Please, fire away any follow up questions you might have. (Such as translation perhaps...)
