Hello,
I couldn't find any info on the following, so I'm asking the question here. I am going to build a stud wall to divide a room into two. One end of the wall will end up right against the chimney. I am aware that I cannot have a wooden stud directly against the chimney, but what should I have in between? Plasterboard? One layer or two? Any special type of plasterboard? Or something else?
(I have recently installed a stainless steel liner in the chimney for the boiler, tiled stove, and fireplace if this matters for the answer.)

Thanks in advance!

The best you can do is to talk to your sotare to be completely sure that it is done correctly.

The chimney sweep will probably recommend double minerit boards, but as mentioned, talk to your chimney sweep about this.

Thanks for the answers! Just called the chimney sweep. According to him, I should leave 10 cm between the stud and the chimney and then bring the drywall up to the chimney. Interestingly, he mentioned that I could also bring the OSB up to the chimney. But then you still have wood against the chimney, or is OSB fireproof treated....:) Oh well.... I think I'll finish the OSB at the edge of the stud and only let the drywall go the 10 centimeters up to the chimney.
