We have an older house where we can just about squeeze in a staircase to the upper floor (small attic renovation).
We can really only fit a "turning" landing staircase, U-shaped. Each staircase is 77cm wide. The landing can be made about 162cm wide and 120cm deep.
Will it be a disaster?

Will it be a disaster?
It mostly depends on what you are going to transport up the stairs. For normal use, it is hardly a disaster. It does not meet the regulations in BBR but maybe you can live with that.
