Leveled my basement floor. On part of the floor, there is a "patchy" white film/layer that is stuck hard to the surface, one might think it's something like lime or something. Does this film need to be scraped off before laying tiles, or is it safe to lay directly on it? It looks a bit like mold :)

Hard to see your picture;)

Hoped to get away, but here you have them :)

  • A dusty floor with a shop vacuum and broom in a workshop setting.
  • Close-up of a speckled beige surface, possibly a type of flooring or wall material, showing texture and color variations.
  • Concrete surface with white speckles and a rough corner edge.
How long has it been since you plastered?
It can be like that if there was a little too much water.

The white started to appear after maybe 1-2 weeks. It can be completely scraped off with a putty knife, but you have to press quite hard and scrub a bit.

It MIGHT be that I mixed it wrong, plastered all by myself, an average of 2 cm deep over an area of 24 m2, halfway through the work the whisk broke, so I had to replace it with a worse one. This caused enormous stress, so instead of mixing 4 bags in the water, it might have been only 3 bags (+33% water). The area where it has happened roughly corresponds to how much one batch covered.

Is there any product from Heydi that you can use to bind it together, I believe you're supposed to scrape off the loose parts first.
