I'm planning to build an outdoor deck of about 14 sqm. The deck's pillars are approximately 2.5 meters high. The question now is which wood to use. I was thinking of using laminated wood pillars 115x115 in impregnation class NTR AB, but it cannot be found anywhere (I live in Stockholm). It can only be found in NTR B. The question is now: Is it possible to use laminated wood pillars/posts in class NTR B? Or can laminated wood pillars in spruce be used, which are available. If using spruce for the pillars, do they need to be treated in any way?

Hello!
We have a balcony that has had untreated glued laminated timber as a construction for almost 20 years and it works. However, it gets a bit ugly, gray, and dull and cracks over the years.
We have now, after 20 years, rebuilt the balcony and replaced it with new glued laminated timber beams and now want to treat them for appearance's sake. Any ideas from you here at BH?
How did it go for you with the choice of materials?
