Hello!
We are going to start laying chipboard on Nivell battens in the basement and have the following questions regarding these, as there are several different classes & brands. Haven't found much info on this subject.
We have looked at and compared Byggmax, Bejer byggelit & XL-bygg Forestia.
Is there any difference between them in quality, environment, function, or other factors? Which size of the boards is preferable for this: 22x620x1820 or 22x620x2420?
I read in an old post that Byggmax chipboard is not approved for joining between the battens, is this still true?
Lastly, should moisture-resistant chipboard be used for a basement, or does regular work just as well there? What adhesive is best for gluing on the battens?
Thank you to everyone who wants to share their experiences, and I hope someone has the answers to help us with this.

Thanks for the answer regarding glue & size. I agree with your reasoning about the size of the boards, so it will be 1800 boards.T tergo said:
However, the glue you suggested is not in stock to buy where I live. I have found other brands that I think might work but the price difference is large between them, so I wonder if you get what you pay for when it comes to the quality of the glue and which one should you choose as an alternative, or is it the same content and quality in them. Also wondering what carpenters prefer to use.

I'm not quite sure how the Nivells floor system works, but when I've laid Granab joists, you should always glue chipboard-to-joist with a special adhesive to avoid squeaking

Hello!
I was informed by an expert in the field that Byggelit & Forestia currently manufacture the best flooring chipboard and are tested and environmentally approved according to Swedish standards, both allowing joining between joists. Byggelit is Swedish and the chipboard comes from Norrland forests, and they are also the most dimensionally stable among them.
We chose Byggelit flooring chipboard & Sika 535 winter adhesive for our basement
