cc30 and 13mm gypsum, so I don't need a plywood board behind it, is this a fact or a gamble?

if you can trust that the tiles won't come loose when the wall vibrates - then I will have better attachment possibilities against the ceiling.
 
If you triangulate and construct the framework sensibly, it is a fact.

is it important that it is 13mm gypsum?

or does 6mm renovation gypsum work just as well together with 9mm plywood and plenty of studs?
 
Is it really that precise on the construction site? How many millimeters of grout do you plan to have?

13mm plasterboard = 12.5 millimeters into the ceiling's sparse panel. Then I can fasten it with screws to the ceiling, but it's a bit tight.

6mm plasterboard = 19.5 into the ceiling's sparse panel. Not a big difference but in a better direction.


More work will be needed to build without a plan as I will probably have to extend other sections.
And get an unnecessarily deep shelf.

Build in chipboard and tile directly on the chipboard. Attach the tiles with tile adhesive, not regular fix. It will hold guaranteed! Tried to remove tiles that were glued in a kitchen once and it was impossible to take off. Had to saw the entire board out of the wall and insert a new one. You don't need to complicate it with plasterboard on such a surface.

Discovered that I could have a thicker sheet if I switched to 6mm renovation gypsum.

16mm wood board + gypsum.

Plywood should resist moisture better and be more warp-resistant than particleboard?

It is a high-placed box where moisture risks getting trapped.

And is 6mm gypsum sufficient just to get the dead surface to work with?

However, plywood was not available as 16mm but rather 12+4 sheets instead.
