I wonder which adhesive you use when tiling.
I've been using PFK+ Schönox, but it doesn't "hold" well enough to start in the middle of the wall (25x40 tiles).
Instead, I have to start by shimming up the bottom row, and it feels like it takes significantly more time and is harder to get exactly level. I don't want to bring along crooked tiles that disturb the rows above.

Ardex x77 but if it's for a bathroom, you should have the same manufacturer for the waterproofing layer and adhesive.
There are "adjustable" wedges at kgc that are good if you need to wedge up the first row, then use a string line, and it goes steadily... But I start 9/10 in the middle of the wall.
