Where to buy water-resistant MDF?
The idea I settled on was to use regular MDF (since it's the only thing that seems available to buy...) and paint with a waterproofing system, like this one and then a corresponding topcoat.TheJesper said:
But the cost adds up with the board and double waterproof paints, and at the same time, I found a white glass panel at an affordable price. So it ended with a glass panel.
I still find it surprisingly difficult (bordering on impossible...) to find moisture-resistant MDF, given how many DIY articles, building instructions, material guides, etc., refer to it. But that’s irrelevant now...

It's good that it didn't end up being MDF no matter how well-painted it would have been. Organic material in direct connection to the shower is a big risk for problems.H Halling said:The idea I ended up with was to use regular MDF (since it's the only thing that seems possible to buy...) and paint with a wet room system, like this one and the associated topcoat afterwards.
