Hello, is there anyone knowledgeable in construction here? I'm sitting and drawing a bit in SketchUp and a question popped into my head. In the attached sketch, I'm wondering if all the posts under the gable beam will take up the load from the ridge pillar? The gable beam is glulam and is calculated to manage without posts. But the load that still comes. Is it mainly taken up through the red-marked area?
