This is from my house built in 1929. Does anyone know where I can find this newly manufactured?

  • Wooden moldings from a 1929 house with groove and rounded top view, dimensions 60x15 mm and 70x22 mm shown in red text.
If it is no longer standard, which is most likely the case, you have to go to a sawmill and ask them to make it. It will be expeeeeeeensive..........

"Standard" varies from place to place. Panel och List and Svenssons trä, for example, have a significantly larger assortment compared to the regular hardware market. There might be more similar ones that I'm not aware of?

I have no idea about the upper one... the lower one I think will be difficult to find. I have been on a quest for something similar and the only thing I found was a moulding with the same profile that is available at both Panel & List and Ekesiöö here in Stockholm and is 52 mm wide. It was close enough for me, since the original in my case is about 55 mm, but too far off for you.

We are on the hunt for something similar to the top one.
At Nacka Trä, it seems you can order at a reasonable cost if it is not available as standard.
But we have not ordered yet.

The upper one is usually called a double tongue and groove but is often planed wider nowadays, compare http://www.beijerbygg.se/templates/BB_ProduktListingFlera.aspx?id=36264

I haven't seen the lower one before, it looks like an overgrown hat batten...

Check with a local planing mill where you live - it doesn't necessarily have to be much more expensive to produce a special order, at least not if you need larger batches.

The double tongue and groove you link to is primarily for outdoor use since it is finely sawn. The panel I have is used standing and resembles much more like basupanel but without the "extra wide" groove on one side. I will visit local planing mills to see what they can offer.

Looks promising even though they didn't have exactly mine. I'll check what it can land at price-wise.

Thanks for all the tips!

Check out www.veckebosag.se. Certainly far from Stockholm, but I know he usually delivers timber there. He also has good prices.
