Hello
I am about to start building a new staircase railing in oak and glass, but I need to find posts for the railing.
The dimensions should be about 70x70 and at least 1300mm long.
I have looked a bit at Lundbergs, but they only have posts that are 1200mm long and I need at least 1300mm to be able to attach the railing properly and meet the minimum height of 1100mm.
I have considered buying 45x70 timber and gluing it together into a post, but I would preferably avoid that if possible.
I also found some kind of laminated beam in oak at Bauhaus of all places, but it wasn't made very nicely, so I don't think the end result will be good with that, even if I plane it.
Do you have any tips on where I should look in the Stockholm area?

In Gothenburg, there is e.g., ABI trä, they can solve this for you, but be prepared that it is expensive, oak costs around 40-50,000m3. Otherwise, you can contact a local joinery factory and get a price quote. Many of them have their own stock of oak and might not follow standard price lists. It is important that the oak is of good quality so you don't have bananas in 10 years.
