What kind of house do you live in?
In brick houses, mortar is often used. In wooden houses, there is no sealing between the façade panel and the windowsill.

That is exactly what you should have.

Unless the flashing is recessed in the reveal, i.e., the flashing goes in between the reveals without notching, it should be sealed with caulk between the reveal and the flashing gable.

That is exactly the case in my wooden house. Isn't there some sort of building standard to recess flashing into the recess? Anyway, they haven't done that and I don't think it's completely sealed. And thanks for confirming that the adhesive at Clas O is what I should use!

I don't know about the standard; it looks more worked when window flashings are recessed. However, the problem at the construction sites is that everything has to be done so quickly nowadays that if you make a recess, it becomes bare wood/unpainted in the recess, which naturally means it doesn't last as long. My sheet metal worker and I prefer the flashings to be mounted between the reveals instead for this reason. (Sealed with a joint)

Raising the thread after some dormancy because I have exactly the same problem, the window sills are installed between the reveals with significant gaps.

What does the forum say about Biltema Akryltätning?

Rickard.
I really prefer MS polymer sealant for visible joints. It's almost as easy to make look nice as construction silicone but is paintable and generally seems to be slightly better at everything.
