In the spring, I drained around the foundation of the house, so now the basement studio is going to be completed.
There are two walls in the upcoming studio with white-painted plaster. These walls are filled with drilled holes from previous wall coverings. The idea is to plaster these walls and then paint them again.
What needs to be done? Is it enough to plaster the existing holes, or must the entire walls be plastered? Does the old paint need to be removed?

It is enough to patch the holes locally and then paint with silicate paint.

Agree with that. It is sometimes claimed that silicate paint must be painted on new plaster or on another silicate paint. But choose the right type (a bit more expensive, talk to a skilled paint dealer) and it works even on existing paint regardless of the type.

Thanks for the answers! Exactly what I wanted to hear, the studio is pretty much ready to do the final touches on the build. So as soon as I have time, I'll make sure to get these walls finished.
