I'm in the process of building a vacation home, and the interior ceiling currently consists of raw wood cladding. I want to cover this with something, but not something completely smooth. Some kind of panel or similar, but not tongue-and-groove paneling because I already have that on the walls. Additionally, the ceiling is sloped with visible beams, so the shapes are quite irregular.
I'd like to find some kind of drywall, maybe 1x1m with some pattern on it. Then I can mount regular drywall around and adapt it to the ceiling's shapes. Or perhaps something entirely different, do you have suggestions?

There are ceiling tiles, sort of like the laminate floors you buy.Baalzamon said:I'm building a vacation home, and the interior ceiling is currently just rough sawn boards. I've seen ceiling tiles with a "mild" wood pattern in "white stain" at Bauhaus among others for a very reasonable price - maybe that could be something?

Of course, I don't know what it looks like where you are or what look you're going for, but is it not an option to keep the råsponten visible and just paint it?
We have just that at home and I must say that we are very happy with it and think it looks super stylish. The råsponten looks a bit rough and irregular. In our case, we have visible glue-laminated beams. Everything is painted white.

It would be an option if the råspont were in better condition. But being frugal, I bought the cheap 17mm råspont from byggmax. Most of their range is completely okay, but this particular one is not good. They know it themselves too, so I got a good discount, which is why I chose it. Then the roof is a bit skewed, and it gets a bit awkward around the beams, which is why I want to cover everything in some way.
