Hi!
We have a house from 1974, the outdoor soffit has rotted. But what is the panel called, I can't find it anywhere.
See the picture.

It is regular exterior paneling with a fine-sawn surface.
The gaps are meant to allow air exchange and should be covered with insect mesh or similar.

Straight-edged paneling or beveled straight-edged paneling.
. I'm having trouble finding it for my house as well.

How about this one? Slightly narrower groove, but with a fine-sawn surface. I have it in the ceilings of our wet rooms, whitewashed and cheap

I am most curious about why a ceiling rots away?
Agree, a soffit that is installed like that wouldn't rot if the roof is intact. But one would assume that the original poster has already fixed the roof? Anyway, it's not the boards we see in the picture that are rotten, they look fresh, don't they?Stefan1972 said:

That's what I can find. Available at Xl-bygg among others.
