Just interested in what this is. Found it in the bathroom hall. Had to tear everything down, it was infested with mold and smelled like formaldehyde. Now I've found this in the kids' wardrobes. So I'm a bit paranoid

Yes, if it's water-damaged and smells, it's not very pleasant.
