Hello. I started removing wallpaper at home and got a bit worried when I didn't recognize the material on my inner wall.

Close-up of a partially stripped wall revealing a textured, grayish material underneath layers of wallpaper, potentially suspected as a type of concrete. Close-up of a wall surface with a coarse texture, showing areas where wallpaper has been removed, possibly revealing hollow-sounding building material. A section of wallpaper removed, revealing a dark, rough material underneath on an interior wall near a doorway, causing concern about its composition. Peeling wallpaper revealing a hard, grayish wall material, concern about material being aerated concrete.

The wall sounds hollow, the material is relatively hard but can easily be scraped with a screwdriver.
Is there any risk that this could be blåbetong? Does anyone know what type of material it might be?

Looks like blåbetong, what are you worried about?

It is aerated concrete of the ytong type, so-called blåbetong. Probably in the form of upright planks/elements.

What I'm wondering is if ann needs any special protective equipment besides a mask and if the wall needs to be treated in any particular way concerning radon.
The plan is to fill and paint the wall.

The only thing that helps against radon is good ventilation. You don’t need any special protective equipment.

It might be a good idea to order some pucks for radon measurement? If you've recently bought the house, you might want to check with the municipality to see if radon measurement has been done previously.

It's a condominium, I'll check with the association if they've done any measurements.

What are you going to do with the wall then? There are special barrier wallpapers that prevent radon from the wall from entering the room.
