Hello, I had water damage in the garage which has been repaired, and it has been left to dry out. I'm now planning to restore the ceiling, but I have a few questions.
1. The paper that "hangs down," is it some type of wind barrier or what's its purpose? If so, is it just as good to use a piece of bison (that I have leftover), or does it need to be a specific type of paper?
2. Currently, there is glass wool insulating the ceiling. Does it matter if you mix glass/stone wool (since I also have stone wool lying around), or does it impair the insulation capacity in any way, or is it not good to have stone wool as ceiling insulation?
Either roofing felt if it is thicker.. alternatively windproof paper if it is thinner.
It doesn't need to be there if you have plastic on top later.
But is the space constantly heated?
Then it's okay with plastic otherwise I would have removed it.
No problem mixing glass wool and rock wool.

It's heated with maintenance heat in autumn/winter/spring, and summer warms itself 😁 So the plastic stays. I also didn't really understand why there is windproof paper when there's plastic. But since it's a modular house, it was probably just done. Or maybe it was put there during construction for some reason.
