I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me with this. We need to get quotes for tiling a bathroom and laying tiles in the hallway (with underfloor heating) and I want to write down what should be included. Like self-leveling compound, primer, and such... I have some idea about it, but I'm not entirely sure about the "correct" names.

Another silly question... When laying floor gypsum, can it be laid just any way, crisscross, as the sheets fit, or is there a "system"? ???

There is a system when you lay two layers. Joints and short ends should be staggered. Look at Danogips website and you will find a laying guide.

We didn't bother to find out what was needed but asked for a price per m2 for labor and materials excluding tiles. Just specifying that it should be done in accordance with industry rules for tile installation in wet areas. Most of the craftsmen could provide a reasonable proposal with that basis.

They also want to know the size of the tiles to estimate the time required.
