1 layer on steel stud is clearly stated on the website.

Fiber cement board, Cembrit, 9x900x2550mm, 24.8 kg, shown with options for fixing screws for steel framing, suitable for demanding environments.

Do not buy anchor screws at Biltema!

I have used these to attach the rafters on our garage, and at least half of the screws have "lost" their heads and are therefore useless.
I fear the day when a new Gudrun or Gorm comes, then the garage roof will probably fly away :(

It is a Heco screw, but it is not available on Heco's website.

I have had exactly the same problem with anchor screws purchased at Hornbach. Deadly.

The fiber cement screw is a Heco screw, but it doesn't appear to be in Heco's range on their website.

That looks like a hårdgipsskruv. Cembriten is probably only 9 mm as far as I remember. Gypsum is thicker. Functionally, hårdgipsskruv usually works fine, but the thread length is tailored for e.g. golvgips.

To fuel the general debate: Bought anchor screws at Byggmax where the Torx fitting had the wrong dimensions, couldn't fit a T25 bit, and a T20 was too small.

What to do? One thing that everyone here who has experienced any defect should do is to make a complaint. And then also demand compensation for other costs you have incurred. Something you are entitled to according to the Consumer Purchase Act. Other costs can be, for example, mileage compensation, compensation for damaged materials, etc.

It simply shouldn't be profitable to sell rubbish, which it obviously is today.

I have tried Byggmax a few times but have never left satisfied. It has been everything from plasterboards that are not available in standard dimensions to click flooring that does not match the information on the website at all.

Now I buy everything at Hornbach. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good prices. Good range of both budget and professional items.

I started with screws from Byggmax and discovered the problem, switched to Gunnebo but found that even their heads sometimes failed. Now some of my rafters are attached with 8 trusty anchor nails, 4 Byggmax screws, and 4 from Gunnebo. The building inspector just smiled at the effort. 6 approved screws would have been enough.

To return to the topic, I generally find that Byggmax screws are worse and more expensive than those of competitors. But the staff is friendlier and the locations are better, so I am still a big Byggmax customer. I buy screws at XL-BYGG.

What?! Normally, one might say "bloody junk" and move on in life, but anchor screws are important things. Especially if the roof trusses and joints are not oversized. Were the screws driven in any special way? Impact driver? Were the nail plates from Biltema as well?

The question is whether you've used too much torque?

I mean, half of a 70-rule is 35mm. Need I say more?
