Wall raising, how many people should you be?
I wonder how it's usually done on larger construction projects when building with loose materials. Do you construct an entire long side of 8-12 m and raise it at once with the help of enough people, or do you build in several sections?
Is there an approximate measurement for how long a wall section can be in relation to how many people are helping to raise the wall?

We usually have Max build a wall 5.4m long since you are often just two people, but it becomes heavy with a 45x220 Bärlina in it, so you can add it after raising if it feels too heavy.
But if there are many of you, you can of course build longer walls.

Ok, but then the top plate holds the wall together when you raise it, and you add the beam when the wall is up? That's a smart way to reduce the weight.Rejäl said:
What is typically calculated for the openings a 220*45 beam can handle in the wall? A sliding door of 3m? Or does it require a larger beam perhaps?
Yes, you can do that, but it's easier to put the bearing beam in place on the ground if the backs can handle the lifting😉M Martin Lj said:

When I built my 21-meter garage, the back wall was split in the middle, 10.5 m
And all wall pieces were assembled in a pile. Then a mobile crane came and lifted all the pieces into place.
The challenge was that the piece at the bottom had to go up last.
Then we set up the trusses on the ground with rote, roof sheet, fascia boards, and underside nailing.
Yes, and then it was the mobile crane again.

Then there may be machines to help as well, or you might do a bit of special work with a winch, etc.
An acquaintance who built a lösvirkeshus acquired a small wheel loader during the construction period as he performed a lot of the work himself.
