I am going to buy a house. The house we have seen has brick walls in the kitchen. How do you remove it? Do you leave it and then nail drywall over it and then paint/apply wallpaper?
Frame up a new wall 10-15cm outside the brick, add drywall, and make rectangular or square holes in the drywall. This way, you get "recessed" shelves in the wall that you can also light up, plus you get the brick as a background.
