Hello,

I am working on an extension that will be a "håll" of 20 sqm. Currently, I am installing a vapor barrier. And I am wondering a bit about the function it will serve when the rest of the house of 100 sqm does not have a vapor barrier (built in 1960).

If the hall is going to be permanently heated, then the vapor barrier is fine. Especially if it is insulated thickly with glass/mineral wool. Whether the rest of the house has a vapor barrier or not does not matter.

There will always be warmth, and well insulated it is also with glass wool. Then I don't need to feel that this was in vain.
