hello,
I have a small urgent issue that I would like to get an answer to immediately because I am just about to pour the concrete floor again. I have broken up and replaced the old iron pipes for the drain with plastic pipes. Now I'm going to pour concrete over the trenches that have been created in the concrete floor. Can I fill them with the sand/rocks that I initially removed? So that I don't have to pour so much concrete. The trenches are quite deep, maybe about 20cm. How thick does the concrete need to be, 5cm?
I will be taking away a lot of demolition debris today, so I need an answer on whether I can shovel a large part of the removed material back into the trenches?

I think you can treat yourself to 10 cm of concrete. I'm no expert, but I would probably use the fill materials. Just make sure to pack them well. For example, take a piece of 4X4" and use it as a "dunkare".

I would cast the same thickness as the slab I have broken up. It feels pointless to cast 10cm if the old one is only 2cm.

very good and thank you. a dunkare it will be and the same thickness as the concrete before. I will do so.
