What suggestions do you have for a solution?

The plasterboards are further out than the door frame, see image.

  • Drywall extending past door frame edge, close-up view.

Don't you have a better picture so one can see the whole thing?

Oh, just noticed that it wasn't a clear image. Here are some more pictures.

  • Close-up of a doorway with a visible gap between a green wall and white doorframe, highlighting uneven plasterwork.
  • Close-up of a green painted wall adjacent to a white door frame with a visible gap in between.
  • A white door frame on a green wall with unfinished edges, and a macramé wall hanging beside it.
  • Close-up of a white door frame and a dark green wall with unfinished edges, showing a contrast in color and texture.
  • Close-up of a partially painted door frame, showing a gap between the white frame and the dark green wall.
Carefully break loose the lining.
Spread the casing out to the drywall.
Drywall into what is missing,
Putty and repaint the wall.
Prime the casing.
Reattach the moldings.
Sand and putty everything.
Prime everything.
Paint the moldings and casing.
