TV on OSB
Where can you find 6x40-50mm screws? The building stores I've been to only have 6x60mm as the shortest. Should work just as well? Worried about puncturing the vapor barrier but you do that with shorter screws as well, and the small holes that result don't really matter, do they?R Robert-san01 said:Moderate.
Approximately 40mm protrusion from the bracket, and check that there are threads where the OSB is located. That is, so there isn't a smooth part where it can attach. For example, I can imagine that fully threaded 6x40-50 are moderate.
They can handle about 20-25kg/screw when they are in OSB.

Isn't it possible that the appropriate screws and washers came with the mount?Raka said:

These are expensive and nice, but in your case, you can use anything; it will hold well anyway.Raka said:

I have thrown away the French ones I had. Worthless compared to modern alternatives. I use VSB's jetting screw with a hex head instead:

There is also a very similar screw at Biltema which is also good, I think it's actually a vsb-screw as well.

These ones? https://www.biltema.se/bygg/fastelement/traskruvar/traskruv-hex-2000038518MathiasS said:
You should have a screw that is threaded all the way up to the head, if the threads end so far back that they are behind the OSB, they are of little use. Like this https://www.ahlsell.se/10/infastning/byggplatskruv/byggskruv/4443593/

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who can shop for me at Ahlsells. I also don't have a Hornbach nearby (as was suggested earlier in the thread). Biltema, Jula, Jem&Fix, Beijers, Tools, and Byggmax are pretty much what I have to choose from...E elmont said:
