Truss according to the Royal Board of Housing
Living in an area where all the houses are of the same type from the 50s/60s. In the municipality's drawing archive, there are unfortunately only floor and facade drawings and no construction drawings, but I saw on a neighbor's drawing that the trusses are referred to as "self-supporting truss according to the royal housing board's standard - type 8"
Does anyone know if this refers to just the type of truss, that it is a self-supporting truss, or is there actually a bit more documentation to find? I have googled but get no hits. I think it must have been some form of national standard that meant the drawing only needed to refer to it and not specify dimensions.

Probably refers to Harald Wale's publication "Trätakstolar till bostadshus" published by Kgl Bostadsstyrelsen in 1956 with later editions. The publication was a precursor to the "Takstolsboken". Search at your local library, there might be a copy of some edition there.O olofh said:I live in an area where all the houses are of the same type from the 50s/60s.
