Hi!
I've just taken down a small wall in my apartment and have a few questions.
I started from a door opening and sawed off about 0.5 m of wall. How do you build a nice edge around the new opening? What should you use and how do you attach it to the wall?
Can you level out the hole in the floor with foam sealant? It's very uneven, see picture.
I also happened to saw off a little too much in the upper corner, can you glue that piece of wall back with something? The idea was to saw that far all the way, but I changed my mind a bit too late.
I've never done anything like this before so I feel a bit lost, actually
It would be wonderful if someone could help a little!

I don't have great tips, but forget the foam. You should probably fill the holes in the floor with something. I'm not the right person to suggest which product is suitable. The easiest is probably concrete.
You can either finish the edges with a board and suitable door trim or just fix it with some putty. It probably shouldn't be regular wall putty, but here too, a cement-based putty.

Looks like a chipboard floor on joists?
If that's the case, clear out the hole and screw a piece of 22x70 or 95 board on each side, extending into half the width of the hole on each side. Then cut a strip of 22 mm chipboard floor and fit it into the gap, screwing it to the boards on each side. (Use glue and clamps to fasten the board pieces. Also, glue the chipboard strip before screwing to avoid squeaking in the opening.)
Then cover the opening with a trim of planed pine in dimensions 22xY where Y is the wall thickness + 10 mm, so the trim extends max. 5 mm on each side of it.
And sure, you can glue back the piece you cut too much, but here as well I suggest you take a piece of 22x70 and screw it to the remaining edges, then screw the piece you cut too much onto these (use regular wood glue).
Then you need to fill (with fine filler) the groove from the saw blade and when it's dry, fill once more with a strip of fiberglass pressed into the filler so it holds.

Thank you for the answers!
imported_Byggaren: It's a concrete floor, will try to cast in concrete tonight.
I have bought timber for the edges, but how do I attach it? The walls are made of lightweight concrete and are very porous, is it possible to nail and if so with what type of nail?
