After renovating the earth cellar, it became very pleasant to go down into. I installed a thermometer and it showed 12 degrees. Not a good temperature.
There are thick concrete walls and a lot of soil on the sides. Above is the old chicken coop, i.e., not much insulation.
Wooden door in a basement with concrete walls, showing weathered panels and hinges, illuminated by overhead lighting.
Inner door only two layers of planks.
Wooden door inside a cellar with open view to an outside grassy area, showing thick concrete walls and simple plank construction.
Outside a passage and an outer door, also made of two layers of planks.

Now to my consideration. If I insulate the inner door, I'll still get heat from the outer door leaking in. Do I need to insulate both?

For the best results, you should insulate both doors. The effect of this depends on how the walls and ceiling look and what is outside of them. A bare concrete wall would benefit from external insulation.
