Hi, I have quite a few tongue and groove boards left over from a roof replacement. I'm going to renovate a room and will be using metal studs. I'm thinking of using the leftover tongue and groove boards instead of OSB. Can tongue and groove boards be used indoors? They are apparently treated (on one side, or am I misinformed). I mostly want to check that it won't create an unhealthy environment in the room, similar to how pressure-treated wood shouldn't be used indoors.

Best regards

I have only used regular råspont under gypsum and it works great and becomes really sturdy, gaps should also work.

Yes exactly, I just thought that the panels are treated with some form of chemical, or am I misinformed?

Gaps are present that have been treated against growth, yes. Finding out with what might be best, but I would have just installed them myself.

It’s usually grön-fri they apply, but I really have no idea what it is and if it should be avoided indoors.
