I don't really know which category this belongs to, but how do you build a foundation for a tiled stove on the upper floor of a traditional wooden house? The stove will weigh a few hundred kilograms and cannot be placed directly on a regular wooden beam framework (2x9"). Using Isokern Dubbelmodul chimney.
Hello, We are just finishing our house and to avoid building a foundation under the kakelugn and taking up a lot of space, we installed a metal beam in the floor structure between the floors and then the floor structure was mounted with 30 cm spacing where the kakelugn will stand. Maybe it can be an alternative.
Good luck

Previously, they were installed on wooden beams, but this is now forbidden; they must not fall down prematurely during a fire. A kakelugn can weigh up to 1.5 tons when fully assembled. It should stand on a cast floor or a stable steel construction. Check with a kakelugn specialist or chimney sweep master. Don't forget the building notification to the municipality, otherwise, you might encounter problems with insurance and the like.

The iron beam is placed as extra support for the denser framework and so that it does not fall through directly in case of a fire, for example (the beam can support a weight of 2 tons). The foundation will probably be cast in concrete, or a plate will be placed on top of the framework with the iron beam in the middle. I hope this will work.
