Checked with the insurance company, but for a "sudden, unforeseen event" an additional insurance was required, which I didn't have for the house.

The thought has crossed my mind, but I'll go with putting up the bricks anyway. I think it looks nice, and once I've reinforced the foundation, it should be maintenance-free for the 40 years I plan to live in the house. :D

Now I need to get hold of a bricklayer before it gets too cold. Summer came to an abrupt end.

That was my thought too! Feel free to give us more pictures of the final result!

otherwise, you can finish the house with an aqua panel after adding insulation.

That's what I would have done.

In the eyes of an insurance company, this is probably "normal wear and tear".:@
