I am planning to install a terrace awning measuring 4.5x3 meters on rafters (3 brackets) on a Hjältevad house.
I see in my construction drawings that the rafter is some type of masonite beam, and it also seems to me that it appears to be laminated masonite when I look at the rafter from below the eaves (a bit difficult to see because there is paneling with only small gaps between).
Does anyone have experience with this? Does it work? Should I use French screws?
