Should be relatively easy anyway I think, maybe the machine is a bit weak perhaps.
Biltema has a cheap pack of saw blades that are quite coarse and good to have in wood. "16-540" is the article number; it might be worth trying before you go and rent a professional machine.

The biggest problem is probably your attitude "poor old me." If you've already started tearing down the wall, the problem is not that you feel sorry for yourself, but your attitude. And the more you look at the computer, the longer it will take. The last time I took down a wall, I cut it in the middle horizontally and broke away the junk.
