Tear down a small wall in the "hall"
Hello everyone!
New here on the forum and also when it comes to renovation, etc.
I have a 1988 Gullringshus that is a one-story. I don't know the name of the house itself even though I have tried to figure it out.
After about 2 years in the house, my partner and I have decided that this wall needs to go to create a larger "hall" (which I will attach pictures of later) because it is way too small when you have kids, strollers, etc.
Is there someone knowledgeable who knows and can maybe tell from my worthless pictures if I have self-supporting roof trusses and if the wall is load-bearing or not, and if it's safe to just tear down without worrying?
There's also some electrical work in the wall, but since my father-in-law is an electrician, he promised to take care of that part.
Of course, you start by removing the door and frame, then turn off the power to carefully continue demolishing so you can see how the cables run before my father-in-law comes to help.
I also include some bad pictures I found on the protocol in the attic if that helps.

That wall is hardly load-bearing regardless of the type of trusses. A load-bearing wall in such a new house would be the wall/walls running under the ridge. But now it looks like trusses, and if so, no walls are load-bearing on the floor below the attic.
But I hope the door is tighter now so it doesn't get drafty.

Yes, it's probably self-supporting trusses in the house.
I think the door is sealed; I haven't experienced anything, but when it's around -25-35C, it's cold in the small hall because of the "side windows" in the door that are as tall as the door but not as wide.
It will probably be nice with space when it opens up there.
That cold will spread to the rest of the house when the wall is removed so it might be good to check the draft at the same time.R Rayban91 said:
