The package slip arrived today, the tape seems to be the same as t-flex...
so it's about one-third of the price compared to t-flex
T-flex (25m x 50mm) about 300kr per roll
Tesa sealing tape flex (25m x 60mm) about 200 kr per roll
Isover vario multitape sl (25m x 60mm) about 450kr per roll
These all have a similar reinforcement mesh as t-flex so it might be worth comparing with buying from Germany instead...

I have a few questions about this. When we took down the frames in the kitchen, there were some tears and holes in the vapor barrier. How do I best repair this from below? From above would be too complicated. Can I get Aging-resistant tape and put it on the tears/holes? Or should I apply new building plastic first over the tears and tape it on? It's a bit tricky to reach as it's not a large area where this is visible.
A second question: Around all the walls, there's a seam I've noticed when I removed all the moldings in the house. A few millimeters where it's not sealed against the wall, and the plastic doesn't go all the way out. Is this something I should address? If so, it's probably a similar method here as well, I assume? However, I also assume that I will have to do this from the attic because I can't reach as easily as in the kitchen area. Should I apply plastic over it to extend and then tape with Aging-resistant tape?
A couple more questions: Where can I buy this tape? Beijer, Partille Trä, K-Rauta, Bauhaus, Hornbach are the places I know of and possibly XL-BYGG. I'm avoiding Byggmax tape based on recommendations in the thread.
In a year or so, we are considering insulating the attic with that roll insulation, cellulose. A company is meant to blow it in. I've heard different things about this. Some say no vapor barrier is needed at all, while some say I should even remove the plastic because it does more harm than good, whereas a very serious company to me refused to insulate until I sealed the vapor barrier at all edges and interior walls. He also saw the seam/gap that's there. It seems incredibly tedious to do since I need to dig up insulation, flooring, etc., seal everywhere, then put everything back. Then insulate.
But the kitchen is something I need to rebuild soon, so the holes there need to be fixed quite promptly. I would be really grateful for answers to all my questions.

Are there any requirements when taping your joints indoors in the plastic? It's plastic against plastic in the ceiling and exterior walls. My building supply store has age-resistant tape Stokvis PS1433 for 100SEK per 25m (see PDF) but you start to wonder what super qualities T-flex for 250-300SEK should have?

This is the one you bought then? How do you know it's as good as SITAC approved products? Not doubting that it's good but.... http://www.befestigungsfuchs.de/Bau...nal-TACOFLEX-Dampfsperre-Klebeband-50-mm-25-mSnailman said:
I've also been fooled by the blue Byggmax tape. It holds well when it's 100% flat, but with the slightest unevenness in the plastic, it comes off after a week.
I've now ordered 8 rolls of TacoFlex from Germany, as recommended in the thread.
900 kr including shipping.
Hope they deliver quickly...

Good price!Johan H said:Then I also fell for the trap with the blue Byggmax tape. It holds well when it's 100% smooth, but with the slightest irregularity in the plastic, it comes off after a week.

I've tried a tape from 3M that I found at Optimera, called 8067 all weather tape. It sticks to everything (wood, plastic, concrete, paint) and seems to have a super adhesive.
The seller recommended this one over t-flex and tesa, saying it is miles better and the tape that construction companies mainly use.
Can't find it on Optimera's website but it was available in the store.
Paid about 200 SEK for a 50mm roll.

"Horse lengths" better than T-flex??
Allow me to doubt......
It can't be possible to come up with a tape that sticks much (I interpret "horse lengths" as much) better than T-flex, I made the mistake of putting a piece of T-flex on a metal roof in connection with roofing, it was a lie in h-ell to remove it without thinner.

It is important that the tape is age-resistant and does not dissolve the vapor barrier, so I would not dare to use all-weather tape that is not intended for a vapor barrier...
I was planning to seal against the slab with butyl sealant but skipped it when it stated that it should not be used against pe

Yep, I've used up my first 10 roll order now and I'm getting ready for the second order. A luxurious feeling to be able to tape as generously as possibleSuhagg said:
I also bought some glue product that was supposed to be used for the same purpose, intending to use it where it needs to stick to an uneven surface.
Now I have received my order of 8 rolls.
I ordered on Friday, 10/5, the package was sent from Germany on Monday, 10/8, and it was ready for pickup on Thursday, 10/11.
If everything had gone as it should... Which it didn't. Schenker misplaced my package on the way to the pickup location, so when I went to pick up the package on Friday, 10/12, with the plan to tape all weekend - the package was not there. On Monday, I received a letter stating that unfortunately there had been some error and that I might have to wait up to 10 days before I could file a complaint. I contacted Schenker via email, they responded lightning fast and saw in their system that it looked "very strange" and that they couldn't answer where the package was, but would investigate the matter. Typical - I was in a hurry! Last night I checked the tracking number online and found that the package should be at the pickup location now. Today I picked it up. Glad it was sorted out...
