Hi!
We would love to have a fireplace. But the pipe will then go through one of our son's rooms, which is already incredibly small… :(
But I would like to hear experiences when it comes to exposed pipes. I've heard something about ash blowing in when you open it and that the pipe cools down, etc… I'm super grateful for any input or good experiences.

All the best.

I find it hard to believe that a fully insulated pipe on a stove in use would cool down the room in any way, however, an uninsulated connecting pipe to a masonry chimney or fully insulated modular chimney can help heat the room it is in quite significantly.
