Suitable plug for short screw? (Plaster wall)
Hello everyone!
I have two hooks I intend to hang bathrobes on. The hook is mounted on the wall through the screw on the back (like this model: https://www.rum21.se/kladkrok-large-matt-massing), and my first thought was to use universal plugs since it should be on a drywall without a huge load.
What confuses me a bit is that the screw is 5 mm in diameter but only 30 mm long, and plugs of suitable diameter seem to be longer than that.
Can anyone recommend a different type of plug or do you think it might work anyway?
Thanks in advance!

A real gipsankare feels more secure. But they are usually for 4.5 mm screws. Example of a cheap variant:

I don't think that hook with a screw goes well with plaster, almost regardless of plug and anchor.
Consider mounting the hook(s) on a board/panel that you then secure with drywall expanders in the plaster.
The hook has a small support surface, so the plaster can break apart.
A board is significantly "tougher" and distributes the load over a larger area on the plaster.

Alternative solution: Get one of these instead. Simple and inexpensive:

Haha! Thanks, but then the bathrobes will probably have to stay on the floor instead
Thanks for the detailed answer!prototypen said:

I will consider whether your suggestion is something I should proceed with.
