A few years ago, we divided a living room by building the new wall directly on the floor. Since we have water-based underfloor heating in the house, we first placed an aluminum U-profile on the floor, put a beam in it, and then fastened vertical beams and screwed into the beam. The wall is therefore not screwed into the floor. This is because we cannot screw into the floor as we don't know exactly where the heating coils are. We now realize in hindsight that structure-borne noise is transmitting through the floor. Now we need to divide the living room again to create an additional bedroom. How can we best avoid structure-borne noise again? Should/must we take up the floor and attach the beams to what is underneath? At best we will see the floor coils and can then screw down a beam. We have oak parquet but it's unclear how it is installed.

Thanks for all the tips!
