Hello
I have an artificial turf field 13x6 meters where we usually play bandy and other ball sports. The field is surrounded by a 1.80 meter high fence on three sides, one long side is open. Unfortunately, we keep shooting balls over to the neighbors, so I have purchased a large net that I want to stretch over the field. I tried using straps, ropes, and poles, and it worked quite well, but it's quite tricky to set up and take down the net. (There's always some slack in the net, so it needs to be higher than 1.80 to work well, hence the ropes and poles)

Now I've come up with another technique; I'm weaving VP pipes into the net, which I then stretch as an arch over the field. I plan to insert the VP pipe into metal pipes I attach to the top of the fence (articulated metal pipes for easier installation), and then stick the VP pipe into drilled holes in my wooden deck on the other long side - where the fence is missing.

The VP pipes need to be at least 10 meters long to form an arch between the field's long sides. Do you think it will work with regular VP pipes and joint sleeves, or can you think of a more suitable material or construction? I want it to be easy to set up and take down the net.

I would probably set up tall poles myself, think flagpoles in the corners of the field with line looped up to the top and hooks.. Easy to hang up and down and not a lot of long things to try and stow away.
