Storing of sealant foam

I have a problem when I have used part of a can of foam sealant. I haven't figured out how to be able to use the same can a few days later, or a few weeks later.

Am I doing something wrong - or is it just like that?

How should it be stored? Should you clean everything with acetone or?

Clean the nozzle by spraying with the bottle + nozzle turned upside down until only the propellant comes out. It works a few times.
Store unused or used bottles upright.

My experience says that you can save Sika, but not Casco. With Casco, the propellant leaks out of the canister if you have "opened" it. Anyone else with the same experience?

when I take a little squirt of foam, I just let it be and clean the tube when I need to use a little again, and if I can't get the tube clean, I use a piece of fitting hose

yes, but it's probably not just in the tube but also in the nozzle? But since you say you do it, it must work :-*

I have never succeeded in reusing an opened bottle. Admittedly, it has usually been a week or more.
By the way, I can tell you about a little incident with a new bottle that wouldn't release anything. It seemed like the valve was stuck. I placed the bottle between my feet and leaned on the nozzle with my palm.
What do you think happened?
The whole valve collapsed and both I and half the room looked very peculiar.

I loosen the fitting and the hose, and drop in a bit of acetone without oil and push through a small piece of wire wool to make the hose and fitting mechanically clean. Then it's important to gently wipe the bottle's top with some acetone on a Q-tip and store the bottle standing upright.

Have never managed to save any. And it doesn't feel worth it when they cost 29:- each either I usually plan so that I can use the whole one hehe

It usually lasts a couple of days. You just have to cut the tip of the tube.
