Sto plaster system in kitchen indoors - bind - varnish - washable?

I have finished my kitchen with Sto system plaster to get a concrete effect. I really like the result but now I need to seal/isolate it. Some recommended using floor lacquer so it's easy to clean but the result doesn't look good, the whole concrete effect disappears and looks "plastic". Any recommendations?
And is it possible to plaster directly on plasterboard with Sto system plaster?

Usually use wax as protection.
