Hello everyone

I am considering renovating my indoor U staircase. Does anyone have experience with reversing an existing staircase? Tips and ideas on how to proceed are welcome.

It is not possible to reverse such a staircase without replacing the stringers and flipping the steps upside down. Probably cheaper to buy a new staircase if you can't do the work yourself.

It will be like building a new staircase almost. Better to order a new one so you avoid all the hassle and problems with the renovation.

Hi, how did it go with this project? I have a similar pine staircase that I want to mirror, planning to then build it in with back panels, beadboard, and then paint. My concern is about how strongly glued the steps are in their stringers, if they will just crumble when disassembled.

Order a new staircase, as previous speakers have mentioned. The steps should preferably not be glued, but only screwed.
