I am childishly fond of old brick, and have therefore decided to build a wainscoting out of just used brick. But it would be unnecessary to use whole bricks for this, half is more than enough (to not build too much in width, etc.), but my question is:

How can one split an old brick quickly and safely?

I will be covering about 4 square meters so it's not huge areas directly, but it will still be a number of bricks, so if anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, I would be very grateful!

[If there happens to be someone who knows of a place in Gothenburg that sells used bricks (especially beige/light yellow) apart from Återbruket in Kviberg, please shout for the love of all!!]

Thanks,
Johan

If you're not in a hurry, you can use the angle grinder and turn the side you're cutting inward so it doesn't show.

Otherwise, it's probably appropriate to rent a cutting machine at Cramo or similar.

Rent a cut-off machine, it generates significantly less dust and works much faster.

Oh yes, I'm the first to confirm that the combination of an angle grinder and brick constitutes a smoke machine that wouldn't need to be ashamed at Metallica's biggest live concert....

hahaha :)

kapmaskin it is, those of you who seem to have done this, what type of kapmaskin should one have?
