@ramini OK, did this designer explain why he thought it was even better, especially since he first suggested laskning?

Jointing is always recommended first. This is so that beams align with each other and standing wall studs, even flooring becomes optimal then.

The joint itself becomes equally strong with both variants since the effective contact area is the same, but the fact that the joint ends up on the load-bearing wall instead of "in the air" makes it considered stronger.

He is very practical: the fewer steps that need to be performed, the better. Furthermore, he said it's important that the joints are at roughly the same location, as the "third point of the span" is the place with the least stress.
