Special - Floor moldings, are there any?
Have a question about baseboards.
The easiest way when wallpapering and replacing floors is to remove the baseboards, but since we have issues with the plaster, the mason suggested we leave the old ones that have been there for 60 years in place.
But I was thinking that instead of being super meticulous with the wallpaper and to avoid using a trim against the new floor, there should be some kind of solution for a board that can be placed over it. Something that covers the old one.
Does anyone understand what I mean and know if such a thing exists?

You can let the wallpaper go down to the old moldings, right? It's not that hard to cut the wallpaper against the molding and get it straight and neat.
I also think it saves you a lot of work compared to finding special moldings to cover the old ones.
If you have any gaps between the wall and the molding today, you can apply a thin line of latex before you wallpaper.
Maybe not an answer to your question about special moldings, but still...

And if you cut completely crooked, you can paint the moldings once, with a putty knife in the angle against the wall/wallpaper so you don't get paint in the wrong place... It shows upon close inspection, but looks good from a distance!
