I wonder if it's OK to start plastering on the "finished" side? We have framed interior walls on the upper floor and installed one side with drywall. Now the electrician is working, then insulation needs to go in before we drywall the other side. Has anyone tried plastering the finished side before it's all done on the other, so to speak? I suspect it might be risky because you can, to some extent, access from the inside when insulating or running conduits for electricity, potentially causing movements in the drywall that could ruin the plastering, right?

Yes, there is a risk. Especially when you are going to put up the other side of the wall.

I have both filled and wallpapered on a wall that was finished on one side, then continued on the "other side". It has worked without problems.
Electricity was already installed, both conduit and wiring.

There shouldn't be any problem with finishing the plastering on one side before the other is installed. It takes a lot of force for you to "damage" the plastering on the first side. ;D
