Have a recently drained split-level house. The wall against the ground was quite damp before but should hopefully now be significantly drier. Have placed 200mm isodrän on the outside.

Considering suitable material on the inside of the wall. The existing exterior wall is light concrete blocks with plaster.

I am reluctant to put anything organic there. One idea is to build up 50mm siporex inside and plaster. Then you also get a bit of extra insulation. Is it overkill? Gypsum on steel studs? Plaster directly on the existing wall? Other suggestions?

Multipor is also available but is expensive.
Why insulate more? 200mm of external insulation should be enough.

Is siporex some kind of gas/aerated concrete?
It was very common for basements where a load-bearing basement wall, for example, in concrete blocks on the inside was covered with aerated concrete with an air gap of a few cm in between.
That's how it is in my basement, which is original.

Everything depends on what you intend to use the space for. If it's not living space, I would definitely just plaster the existing walls.
